Prerequisites

It is recommended that learners have passed the written exam for CCIE.

Course Content

The Cisco Internetworking Expert Routing and Switching Workshop 1 is a five day Instructor Led Training workshop. It includes (2) eight-hour, hands-on, practical assessments that are graded and include detailed scoring report and mentor interface via the mentor guide. The balance of the course is approximately 60% lecture and 40% hands-on lab exercises. The instruction focuses on core R&S technologies as defined by the CCIE R&S curriculum.

Course Objectives

The objective of the course is for learners to become experts in Networking focusing on the identified technologies and protocols listed to the Routing and Switching CCIE Lab Blueprint. CIERS1 is a course that lays the foundation to develop a Network expert by providing theory, analysis methods and multiple hands on exercises and labs to help learner begin to develop a level of expertise in configuring and troubleshooting Routing and Switching technologies. Once a student has developed the adequate level of expertise, he or she will be able to pass the Routing and Switching CCIE lab.
